Stay
We're happy to help find friends with whom out-of-town guests can stay. Contact us.
The Simcha all takes place in the Mission (a neighbourhood) but nearby places to stay are mostly in the Castro (another neighbourhood). This poses a problem because the LGBT Pride week starts the same time as the Simcha - so thousands of tourists will be vying for these places in the gayest neighborhood on earth.
If you can't find someplace close by, there's some farther-afield recommendations, too.
Close-by:
Parker Guest House -
520 Church Street
(no vacancies)
Elements Hotel - 2516 Mission Street
1-866-327-8407
this is a very new hostel-like hotel that's getting good reviews as clean and affordable.
The Inn on Castro - 321 Castro Street (415) 861-0321
Church St. B&B - 325 Church St
(415) 565-6755
Willows B&B Inn - 710 14th St
(415) 431-4770
The Castillo Inn - 48 Henry Street
800/865-5112, 415/864-5111
Travelodge - 1707 Market Street
Farther afield:
This Marriot and the Hyatt are nice and
near Market St. which is a pleasant streetcar ride (plus 3 block walk) to the synagogue.
Of course, there's millions of others.
